Though, not everyone saw Jimi’s death as a bad thing. Even after he died, others tried to sell his records that they said were “never released”. The buyers would pop in their tape and would be disappointed to hear some junk that was recorded at a live show with terrible sound equipment.

While there were other legitimist posthumous records released, the fans are still were still not pleased. They wanted something more, and they got it.

Word has it that Sony Music released a new Jimi album, called Valleys of Neptune, which has a track list of 12 full songs that were recorded by the master himself.

The majority of these songs were recorded in the late 1960’s, right around the time of Woodstock.

This release is said to be a part of Sony’s plan to release more Jimi Hendrix merchandise including DVD sets, and more.

This American singer songwriter has been slowly plodding along in the shadows of many commercialised success stories such as Jack Johnson and Jason Mraz.

Well if you like them, go and see this guy live because he blows them out of the water completely. The difference is that Amos Lee brings a different kind of music and lyrics to the table.

He is not as talented a guitarist as the likes of Johnson or even a Newton Faulkner but the clarity and edge he brings to his own music is mind blowing.

If you’ve never heard of him then what a magical journey you are about to embark upon. Supply and Demand is Lee’s best album to date and it defines him as musician perfectly.

There is just the right blend of slow acoustic guitar music, the type you would find on the streets of Barcelona, and more upbeat and melodic music, the type you would hear from a much neater and refined Paulo Ntini.

Lee’s main tours are across the United States because that is where he has grown hugely in popularity. He has popped over to Europe on occasions and has promised to do so again either late in 2010 or early in 2011.

When you hear this guy sing, it will be like nectar to your ears because his voice has such a clear and sharp edge to it. He lets the lyrics and the power of himself take over from the music and subtle touches of an acoustic guitar string.

Buy Supply and Demand, in fact buy it all because you will be hard pushed to find someone as under rated as this guy.

Incubus, fronted by Brandon Boyd, have not released a studio album since Light Grenades in 2006.

New songs on their Greatest Hits CD have been met with mixed reaction as the core of the band’s fans want them to return to a much more raw sound, which was evident on 1997’s Science and 1999’s Make Yourself.

The band have been separated for the last four years as each member has followed their own individual pursuits. Boyd has taken an art course, while drummer, Jose Pasillas III, has recently become a father.

Boyd explained on the band’s website that all concerned felt it was the right time for them to take a break from music and come back stronger for it in the future. Well that future is now here.

Boyd has promised that the band have already started writing new material, which they will try out during a summer tour of the United States this year. If all goes to plan, an album should be in the shops before Christmas.

There had been rumours that the band were on the verge of going their separate ways after a difference of opinion between bassist, Ben Kenney, and lead guitarist, Mike Einziger.

However, both band members have rubbished any speculation and have said that far too much was read into the hiatus the band took, which was purely innocent and necessary.

The expectation has just started to boil and if the new album hits all of the right notes then it could lead to a sell out world tour. Something the band have said they have wanted for the entirety of their careers but have never managed to pull off.

The band in question this time is the world famous, Foo Fighters, a rock band, who have sold out stadiums in every continent across the entire world.

The rumours are that the band’s time is rapidly coming to an end as their brief European 2010 tour pans out as expected, making the band a few more million and a few more fans.

Dave Grohl, former drummer for Nirvana, has said that the band have agreed to take a break from music after this tour. He even said on NME that he did not have any idea when he would see the other band members again and hence did not know if it was the end or not.

The question is, when you are in a band this big and popular, what do you do next? The band have sold out Wembley stadium and played in front of 90,000 fans on more than one occasion.

The Foo Fighters have become one of the most iconic rock bands of this day and age and the thought of them not going onto make more music together is not even worth thinking about.

If it is the end, and no one has said it is yet, then it will be one hell of a way to bow out of music. Grohl has already started playing a few solo shows and has even started another band, Them Crooked Vultures, with the front man of Queens of the Stone Age.

Any Foo fans that read this, chin up and live in hope. Grohl has always come back bigger and better than before. It is just a case of whether it’s in Foo form this time or in another way, shape or form.

The band’s latest offering met much criticism within the music community for not being as good as their first two records.

It is thought that the band do not want to appear at Glastonbury, an event they have previously sold out, until they have some new material, which is worthy of the event and the occasion.

The Arctics have shaped the face of modern indie and have become one of the highest selling bands in the modern era. They were praised for bring a raw edge to commercial music.

However, this has always been the band’s problem. As they were so good, it is expected of them all the time. Their next record has to be an absolute belter to stop them from being confined to the dustbin of music history.

The problem with so many indie bands of the age is how to maintain their success and carry it on over an extended period of time. Glastonbury badly needs them back after the flop of Jay-Z headlining in recent years.

Humbug is exactly is it is titled. It is nothing compared to Whatever You Say I Am That’s What I’m Not. Until the band can get back to genius sounds, rifts and rhythms of that first album, many people will not be going to Glasto.

The band needs to go back and do the simple things, which made them massively popular in the first place. Hopefully this will not take too long and hopefully they will not flop to the same degree as other supposed indie sensations.

Buy your tickets for Glasto but do not expect it to be Arctic cold any time soon.

They’ve been around for a while but they have just sent out a record called Fire Like This. The good news is that it’s taking off big time and has been well received in magazines such as NME and Rolling Stones.

So what defines these guys and makes them popular? If you listen to the music you may actually be putt off pretty quickly but you have to stick with it to really see their heart and value.

The album is more of a sticking it to the man sort of a record as opposed to trying to be what it’s not and create songs, which will be echoed around stadiums by 40 or 50 thousand people.

It’s clear these guys just love to get together in their Brighton studio are start putting the ideas around and seeing what grows. They’ve pretty much admitted that a lot of their first album, Box of Secrets, did just originate from jamming sessions, which panned out at practices.

Stick with these guys, they’ll make you smile after a long day and they’ll take your mind off of some of the taxing wonders that this world has to offer.

It’s probably a good idea to see them out and about now before they get too big. If they refine their sound a little more then they are going places. Big places with large food and beer tents and packed full of thousands of people.

It’s clear they need a little exposure but this will come once the word of mouth starts to turn into a big deal and phenomenon. Get the record, put it on and dance away. Simple as that.
